At the time of beginning there are only four maps de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke and de_train played highly and relevantly becomes the 1st 4 Professional Maps. All four maps are DE_MAPS (BOMB DEFFUSE MAPS)
Actually PROFESSIONAL MAPS are those maps, which are used in Tournament. If u search for DEMOS, you found mostly demos of Professional Maps.
If you want to PRO OR GOOD in Counter Strike then practice only in Professional Maps and view DEMOS Regularly.
These maps are included to the package of Counter Strike 1.6, means when u install Counter Strike you get these maps in "cstrike\maps".
3-4 year after Counter Strike become popular in FPS (First Person Shooter) games, many professional players, teams came and three(3) more maps are added in professional maps.
These are de_tuscan, de_forge, de_mirage.
